DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A stunning sapphire and diamond bangle dating from the latter half of the 19th Century. It's set all along one side with alternating natural blue sapphires and old mine cut diamonds, in silver claw mounts, and with gorgeous granular shoulder details. The sapphires display a vibrant mid-blue colour, and have been cut in oval cushion shapes like the diamonds. It's modelled in 18 karat gold with French eagle hallmarks, made by hand circa 1880.
